Today there are two websites in the area of consumers' opinions that are real opponents. The website which is a rookie in that field called PissedConsumer.com tries to get more visitors than its rival Consumer Reports has got. Will the beginner be able to triumph over the veteran?
If you load up the sites simultaneously, the dissimilarities are quite obvious. This is obvious that Consumer Reports is designed by real experts and has got quite pleasant look. It is really good for visitor's eyes to adapt as the basic hues used are grey, white and light blue. Here you can find a huge amount of various links and pictures which are completed with short stories. The interface of Pissed Consumer is also pleasant as it is adorned with smooth red and white hues. You will see that Consumer Reports looks significantly more professional. This feeling is a consequence of many various advertisements located on every chapter of the website. The page which includes lots of links and no pictures is always harder to browse and your eyes ought to be always strained to look for the required information. In case we talk about structure, the site includes two helpful sections. One is a recently discussed bar that demonstrates you the reviews or complaints with the latest comments to them. The second section shows the most often read discussions and it is named “hot topics”. The only thing that I didn't like is the little font size used in the hyperlinks which are located in hot topic section.
Consumer Reports pleasantly amazed me by their nicely organized structure. There are some broad topics which are subdivided on some more narrowly directed. The main page was also kept up to date information which was related to the newest published issue of Consumer Reports Magazine. The organization of Pissed Consumer is also quite appropriate but it has got some obvious drawbacks. Remember what happens when you visit a website that is absolutely heaped up with a huge amount of different information. Maybe you are a bit confused. The right side does contain a main list of categories but they are wide without an ability to make them more specific. Both sites comprise some excellent searching systems which make the navigation processes executed by users actually easy. It's also significant to note that while at first glance Consumer Reports seems to have a wider range of produce information, that is not right. Pissed Consumer covers almost every category which Consumer Reports does, but its menu interface is not as intuitive, making it harder to get what you're looking for.
All in all, while both websites cover the same range of topics, it seems that Consumer Reports is the site with better ease of usage and organization. It allows the client to quickly and effectively search out the information which they are looking for. Our little research demonstrates that Pissed Consumer is not so comfortable and involving for visitors as Consumer Reports does.
